Poste de Professeur d'université UMPC (Paris) en cryo-EM analyse d'image et reconstruction 3D
A faculty position in 3D Cryo-EM to study the architecture of macromolecular assemblies at the University Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC) in Paris has been announced. This full permanent professor position involves teaching (French speaking candidates) of Biochemistry and Structural Biology (128 hours of lecture courses) and research activities in high-resolution structure determination of macromolecular complexes by single particle cryo-EM within the "Structure of Macromolecular Assemblies" group in IMPMC laboratory that was led until recently by Nicolas Boisset

Instrumentation includes a JEOL 200kV FEG (JEM-2100F) and a JEOL 200kV
LaB6 (JEM-2100) featuring cryo capabilities, energy filtration, STEM, large 2K
and 4K Gatan CCDs, two Digitizer Nikon Coolscan 8000 ED and 9000 ED, a
film-handiling robot for Nikon Digitizer, an automated cryoplunger with a
controled environment and a PC LINUX cluster with 17 nodes bi and quadri AMD
Opteron 64 bits processors. A ZEISS Ultra 55 FEG SEM and a ZEISS Neon 40Esb FEG
FIB are also present at IMPMC laboratory.

The
appointment will be made at the starting professor level (PR2) on the French
university scale, with a monthly gross salary of around 3000 euro. The salary
may be augmented through the University career reconstitution procedure, which
depends on qualification and experience of the candidate.
